As a college student, I had always found that the hardest part of essay writing was feedback. I could read my work over and over again and still not be satisfied with the writing, but be at a loss for what to do next. I also knew that many of my peers started their essays late at night, after the tutoring center had closed, so it was even more important for them to have a way to receive feedback 24/7.

Many students have turned to artificial intelligence models for feedback on their work, but if used improperly, these models can end up writing the essay for them. This not only breaks academic integrity but also hinders their growth as writers.

Enter Midnight Tutor, my team's solution to this challenge. Students upload their essay, prompt, and rubric and receive detailed feedback on where they can improve. It also includes a brainstorming feature to help get the writing juices flowing.
